Ahhh, it’s been a while since I did a brief FT post. I thought the ending to the Festival arc was good but didn’t feel like talking about it. Wasn’t originally going to make one for this episode (out of all them, manga and anime filler) either but it was just too funny to pass up. lol xD;

So tell me, how exactly was this labeled a “seinen” work? I know Hoshino Lily is popular for her yaoi so…no matter which way you can shove this title into that category, it’s so overflowing with shoujo-tastic flavor, it’d put the sweetest sugar particles in candy bars to shame.
But I LOVE it…so as crazy as it is that I might fail this semester due to lack of concentration but you always had that! xD; and severe senioritis, I think I’m going to blog this after all. 8D;

I take back what I said about Shingen. In fact, I wouldn’t mind having him for an uncle so long as he doesn’t cut open puppies and kittens. People and headless fairies… *shrug* Ok. Just keep away from the fluffies.

Anyways, just another plot-revelation episode but the Slasher puzzle hasn’t been solved yet though we’re getting very close. For the most part, I wasn’t really impressed. Enjoyed it, yea, but the pace has slowed down a bit and until the action comes back, I’m in general meh mood towards this arc now.
Ah, I really had to do a review for this ep since it includes one of the few Gray-involved fights I like. I mean, I like them all regardless of who’s fighting who as long as the person I want to win ends up on top but Juvia was in this one! I love Juvia~! <3
Haha, yea, quite a few crappy quality screencaps (cuz it was the only one available for download when I was on two days ago) and lazy comments in sequential order but hell, I'm tired and still have hwk to do so I'll just keep this fun. :P

Very short post but ZOMG! It’s my favorite CLAMP musketeers!!!. And all the other CLAMP musketeers along with them, LOL xDDD;;
Now things are starting to make a little more sense connecting the Kobato, xxxHolic, and TRC universes together (WAIT, IT DOES??!?! @A@;;; ) but I’m not going to delve into all those complicated theories on what’s this and that. I’ll leave it to the expert CLAMP enthusiasts to argue over and share those elsewhere.

Haha, but I prefer BFFs more. Aww gawd, did I mention how much I love these two always together?
As friends, of course and maybe a little shounen-ai for some laughs, but I haven’t had such a snuggable boy BFF pair to fawn over for so long. In fact, there’s such a lack of it that the only male BFF pair I can actually remember is Teito and Mikage from 07-Ghost (WAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!! Mikage~ ;___;).
So yea, WE NEED MOAR CUTE MALE BFFs, WHO’S WIT MEH?! >xD

Anyways, I’ve also read some MAJOR spoilers (pretty sure a couple have also hit that jackpot if you follow the LJ comm.) so yea, every DRRR!!! post from now has SPOILER WARNING!!, ok? I really don’t want to hold back stuff I already know cuz it restrains my writing. Even if things are not that relevant yet, just giving everyone a heads up so no one chews my head off for ruining their suspense. But really, who can resist spoilers? Aha~

Of course, I’m not going to say I was thoroughly impressed with this first episode because I was expecting at least some more action but I like it all the same. The problem with the large amount of talking is really a trivial thing.
That is, after I watched the subs. Before that, it was just catching small phrases of what little Japanese I could understand and the rest was “NEED TRANSLATIONS!!!” lol XD;
Anyways, I’ll just clear this away before delving into the review. Katanagatari is obviously not everyone’s cup of tea. I get that.
If you happened to like it enough to want to continue, then that’s awesome. Please share with me your thoughts. Otherwise, please refrain from overly negative comments or just take them elsewhere. This is sort of a discussion review. I honestly don’t want to have to edit or delete comments for non-constructive remarks.
This is also my own critical analysis but in no way am I a critic nor do I want to be so don’t chew me out over my own thoughts. Capische?
Right, then onto the topic… (some overall impressions first, scroll down for the episode review)
I…effin’ loved this episode. So if you don’t, get off. Right now. Don’t mean to be rude but no one in the right mind should cross me when I’m enjoying myself. So anyone who complains about the Ikuto arc should just shove it. This was a great filler that could stand on its own and didn’t detract from anything at all. Save your whining for when the plot actually comes back. Everyone else is welcome to join me in my uber “KYAAAAAA~~~~~~!!!!!!!!”-fest. ^^
Ah…omg, I don’t know where to start cuz this was probably the best non-plot filler ever. I don’t know if it was owed to the great popularity of Rie Kugimiya or anything but I am happy with it even if she wasn’t Yua’s seiyuu. Lessee, I got a cute filler girl whose dream to be a singer was not related to Utau in anyway (F*CK YES, BITCHES! This girl dreams for herself!), very awesome cute shots of the main girls (OMG! Is this a girls-filled week or what?!), Utau showing up (though I’ll probably be killed when I say I wasn’t excited to see her as I would have been…go ahead, shoot me, I have my reasons), a LOL at Nagi and…dammit, let’s just get on with the review. XD
