lol, just because of the whole festival thing. Nothing to make a big deal about.
Anyways, woot, despite mixed feelings for this episode, I’m glad they didn’t conclude this arc too soon like I thought they would last week. In fact, I read on a forum that they’re doing about 3/4 episodes per novel in a certain order and that they’ll still have extra episodes left to make an anime original ending. That is, if the source where they heard it from is real.
But that’s nothing to worry about at the moment so I’ll just go along with how BONES is planning to do it for now.

From this episode on, I’m going to reject everything that is “Avril Bradley” with a vicious coldness. It’s not that hate her much…I just find her existence an unpleasant nuisance later on. Right now though, it’s kinda necessary to keep things interesting. /P
Anyways, I will speak more in the thoughts section this time regarding the order of the anime is going according to the novel and the manga. I see what you did there, BONES, and I’m kinda likin’ it. >/3

Can we just…not care about anything but this?
No?
Fine. /P
Btw, I’m totally addicted to the OP and ED themese now. PLEASE GIVE ME FULL VERSIONS NAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! x333333333333

Yah, I got impatient on waiting for a good resolution raw so I’m using the 480×272 one for the screencaps instead. OP, ED and preview ones can all be viewed in better size, though.
Anyways, whoo, for a novel reader, first episode was nothing but a recap. I’d say the pacing should have been horrible but I’m too familiar with the book to rant on it. If you’re confused, you’ll just have to deal. Or better yet, go read it yourself. :P
Not to say this was the perfect introductory episode but BONES doesn’t seem to be wasting time dwelling on several details and chose to omit a huge chunk from the original plot. So far, it isn’t that big of a problem but eh, it’s still too early to tell.
Ack, look at me ramble. I should do that under the proper section. Okie, then, here is the first Xiao masterpiece for the new year. You should all know what that means now, my readers. ;D
WARNING! Possible spoilers ahead for those who didn’t read the novels!

Uwah~! I loved this episode a lot. <333
Of course, I'm still not in the mood for the zoom-in focus on coupling yet but the development is something that can't be ignored! That's all I have to say on that! xD
Btw, I'm still waiting patiently on chapter 2 scanlations. Then again, I feel like I've been behind and waiting for everything the past month now. Stupid outside life. T_T

First things first…did anyone notice that the OP had some minor additions to the art? If you look closely at Zakuro’s ribbons along with one of the layers of her kimono, there’s floral designs on them now. I don’t know why they decided to suddenly show this, even though the first version is pretty good already but eh, just wanted to point out the detail.
