Sorry for the delay. This was supposed to be posted up by last Sunday but I was too tired from school. Think I’ll have to start shortening my posts (aka cutting back on a lot of the screencapping). If not, I’ll have to go on hiatus which is something I don’t want. :(

Mehh…I don’t like the day the subs for this comes out. It’s right in the middle of the week when I’m busy with other work. *sigh* -_-;
But I figure I might as well catch up since I said I would blog this even though I’m planning on changing my mind now. It’s a fun watch but doesn’t motivate me enough to want to talk about it. You have your quirky employees supply the lulz and that’s pretty much it. *shrug*
Not just for these two but almost everyone in this show. Hrmm.

*cough* Well, it was an interesting ep, though not enough to get me all happy over it so it’s gonna be short.
And at the end of this review, you might think I’m some sort of love freak, too. \P
FINALLY GOT THIS DONE!
Of course, I’m not going to say I was thoroughly impressed with this first episode because I was expecting at least some more action but I like it all the same. The problem with the large amount of talking is really a trivial thing.
That is, after I watched the subs. Before that, it was just catching small phrases of what little Japanese I could understand and the rest was “NEED TRANSLATIONS!!!” lol XD;
Anyways, I’ll just clear this away before delving into the review. Katanagatari is obviously not everyone’s cup of tea. I get that.
If you happened to like it enough to want to continue, then that’s awesome. Please share with me your thoughts. Otherwise, please refrain from overly negative comments or just take them elsewhere. This is sort of a discussion review. I honestly don’t want to have to edit or delete comments for non-constructive remarks.
This is also my own critical analysis but in no way am I a critic nor do I want to be so don’t chew me out over my own thoughts. Capische?

Haaaaaa…to tell you the truth, I thought this episode was a bit of waste since it concentrated so much on that suicidal-turned-kidnapped, Haruka Tomatsu-voiced girl, oh whatshername who's never going to show up again. Sure, this whole thing provided for great explanation of what happened in ep 1 and gave Izaya a nice introductory to his character in a less than 15-minute swoop as oppose to the how he's brought out in the manga (I don't know about the novel) but meeehhh, Brain's Base, you bastard. You friggin' lied to me! I'll kick your ass if you throw stock footage at me again next week.
Well, if you already read some first impressions of this episode or actually watched it, then “Hidden God/Wolf” really rained down on what little excitement parade you might have had for Winter. :P
For those who haven’t done either, I wouldn’t go so far as to discourage you from at least trying it out but it’s better that you store those hopes away for now…unless you want them to get punctured, then that’s up to you.
Boring filler. Nothing much to say. I’m kind of a little worn out over the last post as well (but writing that felt great!) and some personal issues are making my day worse so this will be a short post.
I will reply to comments for the manga chapter post (and maybe some others) as soon as I can. Right now, my stuffy nose is driving me crazy and I’m so tired because of it. Urgh… =w=
